Please Join Us at the Photoshop Hangout!

Welcome to the Photoshop Hangout Blog a place where you can find and join Photoshop group hangouts to demonstrate your skills and so others can find and watch spectacular Photoshop Professionals at work creating artwork, graphic designers developing ideas, photo processors and manipulators creating amazing and beautiful works of art through collages of photographs and other graphics as well stylus and digital pixel magic combined with advanced processes, filters, stylus strokes, blending, masking, under painting, texturing, coloring and layering.  Hopefully we  have not lost you and you are ready to be part of a great and extensive community of talented Photoshop artists that like to perform open net without a net. Its not a lot unlike the ancient days when artisans and craftsman would sell and create there wares in the village markets. You may not quite understand yet, but years ago before the internet and not quite old England and Paris days, the way many artists made a living besides gallery shows were public art exhibitions and shows. Often a promoter would set up a show in one town a weekend in a public center like a school, a park or mall, many of the artists would follow the promoters from show to the next over the course of a year, the promoter getting paid for there space and the artist getting the benefit of a promoter that secures advertising and room for all the artists. Often and oil painter or pastel portrait artist would do portrait after portrait all weekend. Today we have a different method where people use freelance boards and other methods, these are not always as interesting as the old times though. Can you imagine just being in a hangout working on a personal  project and have people offer you freelance work ?  Well we will be working on making these circumstance real at Photoshop hangouts.  Please invite and notify your other digital and graphic artist friends. There are so many other programs that are also used in the art of creation as well but this is mainly a hangout for Photoshop but if you are using added tools in your pipeline that is OK as well so long as you are using Photoshop.

There are so many different styles of work and tools used in producing it from other Adobe products such as After Effects, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Illustrator all using different artistic mediums as well a 3d based programs for films, games and other animations such as Autodesks design suites, Zbrush for Sculpting and Painting in 3d and Blender in addition to hundreds of others. Many of these graphics programs have direct import and export functions with Photoshop so you will often see artists using a variety of tools as well many plugins that are used by Photoshop artists and designers also some work inside of Photoshop while others are standalone or manipulate in other windows. This being said if you are watching and or learning from another be polite and as well if they do not have a mic and incessant barrage of questions can distract and block ones creativity at times so please be considerate of others that are at work. If someone offers to help you that is one thing but as well this is not intended to be a Photoshop tutoring and help center, but rather more collaboration, sharing and learning via observations. On the other hand some artists with mics can tend to chatter on and on carefree and creating this or that without care. Really it depends on the artists, so again please be on good behavior, you never know if you want some one on one interaction many artists at one point or another have and host online workshops these days.

So we have to groups to help with Photoshop Hangout Schedules with one community  on G+ Photoshop Hangout Community where the hangouts will currently be hosted and as well a group and page on Facebook. I will work on setting up numerous calendars events schedules with times and links to hangouts as well coincide blog posts and group and community announcements. In the groups and communities we will have art post days to show off your portfolios from the cloud and Behance to posting links to works in progress, projects, jobs and more. I suggest if you are not using the Adobe Creative Cloud with storage and Behance to show examples of your work that you set this up now. I will also show you more ways to document your freelance and professional career as a graphic artist as well many school me on a regular basis.
